Anguilla

This is the ultimate location in the Caribbean for lazing back and watching the world go by. A small, low lying island only 26 kilometres long, Anguilla (rhymes with "Manila") is edged by over 30 brilliant white beaches with azure waters and is home to some of the most luxurious resorts in the West Indies.

The island's capital, called The Valley, is popular for its sightseeing, nightlife and has many historic buildings well worth visiting. Driving the length of Anguilla's paved roads gives visitors a scenic look at the island's terrain with its salt lakes teeming with birdlife and rambling gardens of exotic flowering plants. Meads Bay, Shoal Bay East and Sandy Ground's Road Bay have wide, inviting beaches with snorkelling equipment and cafes on tap, or hire a sailing boat from Little Bay and do some exploring for yourself. But above all relax, soak up the sun, find a good bar or restaurant and enjoy the warmest of Caribbean welcomes.
